Reforest America Credit (RAC) - About Us |
|
We are establishing a Conservation Fund to reforest our nation’s damaged forest regions throughout the United States. We incorporated the USDA Forest service and the efforts of service organizations like the Boy Scouts of America, Mile High Youth Corp, local environment groups and concerned citizens.
Our alliance with the Department of Energy and the Environmental Protection Agency is to address the ongoing requirements for offsetting carbon emissions. This Credit fund qualifies as a carbon credit establishment.
As a carbon offset provider and a non-profit organization a contribution, or carbon credit purchase, is a tax deductible item and carbon credit for meeting local, state or national offset goals. The RAC offers corporations, local and state governments, organizations and individuals this constructive avenue to sustain our natural resource; the forests of the United States.
With certification through internationally-accepted carbon offset standards for renewable energy, energy efficiency and reforestation projects, the RAC has established our standards in conjunction with: Environmental Resources Trust; the Chicago Climate Exchange; the Climate, Community and Biodiversity Alliance; UNFCCC Joint Implementation and Clean Development Mechanism programs; EU Emissions Trading System, Voluntary and regular Gold Standard, Voluntary Carbon Standard, and other verified emission reductions programs.
Our program provides the seedlings (trees) through our contracts with the Forest Service to plant in areas that have been damaged by forest fires, flooding and the insect ravaged areas in states like Colorado and Alaska. We provide guidelines for service groups to plant the trees under the supervision of the USDA forest service. The fund will also provide as a secondary avenue the resources for alternative fuels and energy programs. |
